Storytelling
Six months after starting of earthworks and external works of a hospital which implies lot of interactions, the contractor in charge of these works has cumulated delays. From then each new disruption became its responsibility. The intervention of Argos Construction has succeeded to reverse this tendency by linking the delays to the facts and by unraveling contract management’s complexity resulting of separate trades. By restoring the notion of rights and obligations of each party, an extension of time has been obtained without any application of liquidated damages.

    Creation of a database allowing to follow the studies as well as to track disruptions.

    Implementation of a follow-up to works « as built ».

    Review of project of letter expressing reservations about the instructions to proceed, correspondence.

    Management of the prescriptive dates. 

    Good practices in contractual management, including drafting documents, anticipation and and need to alert, handling with FTM / FMP and additional works training of the work team.

      23 months extension of time for 25 months initially planned

      0,8 M€ additional remuneration for 3 M€ contract

  • Outcome

    The extension of time has been regularised (removal of liquidated damage) and a 0,4 M€ transaction obtained
